Job summary

ARAG Legal Solutions Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Claims Analyst to support our expansion in the Canadian legal expense insurance market. Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will review claims, determine coverage and take appropriate action.

This hybrid role combines remote work with the head office, offering a base salary with bonus, and benefits including RRSP matching. You will train lawyers, manage relationships with external counsel, and help implement claims policies across Canada.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a claims adjuster.
• Ability to evaluate and assist in the successful resolution of litigation.
• Comprehensive understanding of legal fees and billing assessment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills with strong decision-making.

Job description

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Claims Analyst will support our efforts as we expand and strengthen our presence across Canada in the legal expense insurance market.

What will you do?

• Review and assess new and potential claims to determine coverage under the applicable insurance contract and take appropriate action.
• Participate hands-on in the resolution of simple to moderate claims and coverage issues

About You

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a claims adjuster.

• Comprehensive understanding of legal fees and billing assessment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective problem solving and proven analytical skills, organizational and decision-making ability in order to develop/implement effective solutions.
• High-level interpersonal skills required to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
• Service oriented professional with a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
• Experience in insurance litigation & tort law is an asset
