Job summary

Coast Claims Insurance Services in Victoria, BC seeks a Claims Administrator Coordinator to support our Claims and Operations teams. This role blends claims administration, reception, and office coordination to deliver outstanding service and professional support.

You will open new claim files, manage documentation, and assist adjusters while maintaining a high level of organization and discretion. Stable hours and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

  • Administrative, insurance, claims support, or reception experience is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and document preparation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple requests through phone and email.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems and technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes while working independently.
  • A high level of discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Open new claim files and enter claim information into company systems.
  • Process multiple claims daily with accuracy.
  • Prepare claim acknowledgements and correspondence using templates.
  • Maintain electronic and physical claim files.
  • Manage mail, courier shipments, and priority post.
  • Coordinate claim documentation, filing, scanning, and document management.
  • Greet clients and visitors and maintain a professional reception area.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system and direct inquiries.
  • Schedule after-hours adjusters and support telephone system administration.
  • Assist adjusters and management with administrative and operational support.
  • Order office supplies and maintain resources.
  • Support team projects and smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

As the first point of contact for many clients and business partners, you'll play a key role in ensuring claims are opened, documented, and managed efficiently.

Key responsibilities include
