CapWest is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Vancouver to support excavation on major development projects. You will operate excavators, bulldozers and compaction equipment, ensuring safe, efficient material movement and grading according to engineering specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil construction experience operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to strip material, stockpile with proper slopes, excavate ditches and load material.
• Operate bulldozers to grade soil in appropriate lift thicknesses.
• Operate vibratory drum compaction equipment per Geotechnical Engineer’s recommendations.
• Operate machinery near existing utilities and use 2‑way radios for site communication.
• Perform pre‑op checks, clean and lubricate equipment, and keep tools maintained.

This role will play a key role in excavation work on any of our large development projects in either Tsawassen, South Cambie, or Pitt Meadows.
