Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Civil Technician/Technologist to join the Western Canada Engineering team in Terrace, BC. The role includes field and laboratory testing, construction supervision, and project management, with relocation support available for qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering Technology credential, 7+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. Travel to Northwest BC project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technology program.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with up-to-date driving abstract.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients.
• Strong project management and client relationship experience.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure, land development, roads, drainage, and water/wastewater.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D is an asset.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Northwest BC.
• Local to Northwest BC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on municipal, commercial and industrial projects in field and lab environments.
• Oversee construction supervision of civil, geotechnical and materials projects.
• Perform field and lab testing of soil, aggregates, and concrete; report properties and characteristics.
• Assist in inspection, quality control and assurance on various projects.
• Prepare field and testing reports; contribute to proposals and reports.
