Job summary

Tetra Tech in Whitehorse, Yukon, is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician (NOC 22300) to join our Arctic Engineering team. This full-time role blends fieldwork and office tasks, including drill core management, QA/QC documentation, and data entry for geotechnical projects across Canada’s northern territories.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Geology, Civil Engineering or Construction Services from a recognised technical school.
• Hands-on design, construction administration and project management experience preferred but not required.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites in northern Canada.

Responsibilities

• Drill core management and QA/QC data entry.
• Core orientation, labeling, and recording QA/QC information.
• Laboratory and field testing of soil, aggregate, and asphalt concrete.
• Prepare and supervise sample testing; communicate issues to geology/engineering teams.
• Support field and laboratory staff and manage QA/QC projects.

Education

Geology, Civil Engineering or Construction Services Diploma from recognized Technical School
