Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Civil QA/QC Coordinator for a field-based role on an industrial site. You will support the Quality Assurance Program to ensure all services meet project requirements and will coordinate with site personnel and subcontractors to uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities include performing daily inspections for concrete and earthworks, reviewing subcontracted work such as piling against specifications, and coordinating acceptance with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Support the Quality Assurance Program implementation and administration to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Field-based role on an industrial work site with schedule/location flexibility.
• Perform daily quality inspections and coordinate with employees and subcontractors.
• Inspect concreting work: rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, pours readiness, pouring activities, post-pour repairs.
• Inspect earthworks: subbase, fill material verification, backfill operations prior to backfill authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with employees and subcontractors on quality functions and daily inspections.
• Complete concrete-related inspections as listed (rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, pour readiness, pours).
• Complete earthworks inspections (subbase, fill verification, backfill prep).
• Review subcontracted work (e.g., piling) against project specs and coordinate acceptance.

Civil QA/QC Coordinator

The Site Quality Coordinator is accountable for supporting the implementation and administration of the Quality Assurance Program to ensure services provided comply with the specified requirements.

This position will be field based and located on an industrial work site. Schedule and location of project may be subject to change.

What You Will Be Working On

• Work closely with employees and subcontractors concerning quality functions and daily inspections.

• Complete inspections for concreting work including rebar, formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, overall readiness for pours, pouring activities, post-pour inspections for repairs

• Complete inspections for earthworks including subbase inspections, fill material verification, other work completed prior to backfill authorizations, and backfilling operations

• Review subcontracted work, such as piling, against project specifications and coordination for acceptance
