Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking a Concrete Project Manager for a Northwest BC heavy construction group. You will own the project management aspects of concrete supply contracts, from tendering to delivery, ensuring quality documentation and client communication.

Responsibilities include tender submissions, daily reporting, QA documentation, and coordination with civil PMs, plant managers, and leadership. Based in Kitimat/Terrace/Vancouver with a strong emphasis on staying in the office locality.

Qualifications

• Experience with concrete supply operations.
• Proven experience assembling complete tender or bid packages.
• Heavy construction background (civil, industrial, commercial, or concrete).
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to manage multiple reporting streams.
• Willing to live in Kitimat and work from the office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender/bid packages for large concrete supply contracts.
• Produce daily project reporting and maintain contract documentation.
• Collect and report concrete testing results and manage quality records.
• Maintain client and vendor communications throughout contract life.
• Coordinate with civil PM to align reporting with client requirements.
• Collaborate with plant manager and owner; support senior PM when needed.

Job description

Take the lead on high-profile concrete supply projects with a growing heavy construction group in Northwest BC. This is an opportunity to combine your construction expertise with project management, client relationships, and tender leadership while playing a key role in the continued growth of the company’s concrete division.

About Our Client

Our client are a second generation, family run heavy construction group operating across northwest BC. Established in 2002, they have grown steadily into one of the larger contractors in the region, working across earthworks, underground utilities, road works, site remediation, aggregate production and concrete supply. Their concrete division has grown significantly over the past several years. They are certified for precast and are building out regional supply capacity that previously had to be sourced from much further south. They work with major industrial, energy and municipal clients throughout the region, and a substantial portion of their work is delivered in partnership with local Indigenous groups. They are looking for a Concrete Project Manager to own the project management side of our concrete supply operations.

About The Position

This is a supply-side project management role. You will not be supervising construction or running crews. You will be managing the documentation, reporting, quality and client-facing side of concrete supply contracts, from small residential foundation pours through to large precast orders and multi-million dollar supply packages. This opportunity isavailable to candidates based inKitimat, Terrace, and Vancouver.

Responsibilities

• Tender packages. Building complete tender submissions for large concrete supply contracts. This means assembling substantial multi-section documents including comparable project experience, team CVs, partnership statements and all supporting documentation, and understanding what each client is actually asking for
• Daily project reporting and documentation across active supply contracts
• Pulling, tracking and reporting concrete testing results and managing quality control documentation.
• Client and vendor communication throughout the life of a supply contract
• Coordinating with our civil project management team. A significant share of our concrete supply flows through our own civil contracts, so you will work closely with the civil PM to keep reporting aligned with client requirements
• Working day to day with our plant manager and the company owner
• Acting as backup to our senior civil project manager when needed

The Requirements

• Experience with concrete supply operations
• Proven experience assembling complete tender or bid packages, not just estimating inputs
• Heavy construction background. Civil, industrial, commercial or concrete. The administrative and reporting requirements translate directly between them
• Strong documentation discipline and comfort managing multiple reporting streams at once
• Willing to live in Kitimat and work from our office

Compensation & Benefits

• $105,000 to $125,000 depending on experience
