Job summary

OCL Group Inc. is currently seeking experienced Skilled Labourers to join our project in Fort McMurray, AB. You will perform physically demanding tasks, operate basic tools, and uphold strict safety standards on a busy work site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments.
• Experience digging trenches and operating packers, pumps, rakes and shovels.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness.
• Physically fit for demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Must have safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive is an asset.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks in line with OCL Group standards and industry procedures.
• Assist skilled trades as required.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform spotting and flagging duties when required.
• Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift.
• Site cleaning and preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and job site.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Skilled Labourer in industrial construction environments
• Experience digging trenches, operating ground tools like packers, pumps, rakes and shovels
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and hazard awareness
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing and working in various weather conditions)
• Ensure a safe team environment. Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable work ethic
• Strong communication skills. Ability to follow and understand instructions given.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
• Must have the following safety tickets: WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020 (or equivalent), H2S Alive is an asset
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
