Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager in Vaughan to lead the civil practice within a forward‑thinking, multi-disciplinary design firm. You will oversee project delivery, nurture client relationships and drive revenue growth while maintaining a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

The role requires 10+ years in civil engineering (land development), a PM/Senior PM background, and a P.Eng. licensure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience, specifically in Land Development.
• Experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level with prior leadership.
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and contracts for civil engineering projects.
• Review revenue projections, monthly financial reports and monthly business reports.
• Manage select projects.
• Drive growth and profitability of the group.
• Attend hearings and planning meetings.
• Market and promote obtaining new work for Ware Malcomb.
• Attend relevant networking events and set up regular client meetings.
• Oversee group operations.
• Train, mentor and supervise team members.
• Recruit and hire new team members.

The Civil Engineering Manager is a key member of the Ware Malcomb senior management team, responsible for the growth, revenue, profitability, staff management and overall client relationships for the Vaughan civil engineering market. As Civil Engineering Manager, you will also be responsible for nurturing a positive, team-oriented environment, ensuring financial goals and deadlines are being met, assisting in business development, and managing select projects.

Your Role

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience, specifically in the field of Land Development
• Experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level. Prior leadership experience preferred.

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

This is a full-time, long-term position.
