Education, Experience, and Certifications:
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in Municipal/Civil Engineering.
- Valid Class 5 license.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited Canadian university.
- Registered as a P.Eng. with a Canadian licensing organization, with the ability to receive EGM registration.
- Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of municipal approvals and regulations.
Job Description:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
PROJECT & TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Work closely and collaboratively with your Department Head to obtain and kickstart new projects.
- Take a supervisory role with technical and support staff as well as providing guidance for Junior Engineers.
- Serve as senior project manager and clients designated contact.Coordinate external services with sub-contractors.
PROJECT DELIVERY
- Take an active role in engineering design.
- Prepare tender documents and supervise the awarded projects from construction phase to final certification.
- Produce project schedules and budgets, then oversee their compliance.
- Liaise and develop design work with stakeholders.
- Review and monitor progress on construction sites.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
PROFESSIONAL & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
- Personally take professional responsibility by applying professional seal to construction documents, and engineering reports.
- Be a part of marketing and asset management as needed.
- Prepare documentation and partner with clients to gain approvals such as an Environmental Act License, Drainage and Water Control Works License, and Livestock Conditional Use and Technical Review Committee approvals.
