Job summary

Novatech is seeking a new graduate to join our Land Development team in Ottawa. This entry‑level role focuses on applying design concepts to sustainable community development, with mentorship from a multi-disciplinary group.

You’ll gain exposure to preliminary design, grading, servicing, and cost estimation, while building strong technical writing and communication skills in a collaborative, in‑office environment with future hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with future P.Eng. eligibility.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong communication, analytical and writing skills.
• Driver’s license and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts into preliminary designs.
• Prepare design briefs and general layout development.
• Support grading and servicing design.
• Conduct engineering analysis per standards and procedures.
• Assist team to align designs with project objectives.
• Help prepare construction cost estimates.
