Role Overview

The Civil Engineer & Project Manager will lead and manage various municipal and civil engineering projects, focusing on municipal design systems. The role offers opportunities to work across multiple sectors, including Transit, Land Development, Water Resources, and Municipal projects. The candidate will work on projects in southwestern Ontario and support projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area and across Ontario, contributing to significant projects while fostering team growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities in southwestern Ontario.
  • Represent LEA in meetings with clients, municipalities, and transit agencies.
  • Design and report on Storm Water Management Systems, municipal systems (watermains, sewers, roads), including trenchless design.
  • Conduct servicing studies, environmental assessments, capacity analysis, and project costing.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting as a Project Coordinator or Manager.
  • Manage background data collection, field investigations, utility plans, and technical reviews.
  • Seal engineering drawings and reports as required.
  • Participate in project meetings, client interfacing, and team coordination.
  • Assist in developing project specifications, cost estimates, and proposals.
  • Support ongoing professional development through training and industry engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering with 10-15 years of experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with PEO.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, Civil3D.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal and transportation engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Strategic, process-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Team player with independent work capability and mentorship skills.
