Job summary

Coles Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead and support the complete lifecycle of civil infrastructure projects in Atlantic Canada, from planning through construction. You’ll prepare design drawings, reports, and cost estimates while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree (Master’s preferred) and is registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an asset).
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEPEI.
• 3–8 years of experience in civil design and project delivery, ideally in a consulting environment.
• Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D, MS Office, and stormwater, sanitary, and water design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support the full lifecycle of civil infrastructure projects from planning to design to construction.
• Prepare and review design drawings, reports, and cost estimates with multidisciplinary coordination.
• Conduct site investigations and inspections to inform design decisions and support construction.
• Develop cost-effective, sustainable design solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies for timely delivery.
