Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer in Ottawa to contribute to a broad range of civil engineering projects. You will work across multidisciplinary teams under the mentorship of Professional Engineers, developing toward licensure while applying design, analysis, and project delivery skills.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree from a Canadian university, with field experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian university or equivalent.
• Field experience is an asset; knowledge of codes, standards, regulations, and engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of civil designs, analyses, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Support design development, construction review, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare, verify, and finalize technical reports, calculations, and project deliverables with accuracy and quality.
• Conduct fieldwork including site reviews, inspections, testing, and investigations to support design and delivery.
• Contribute to proposals and engage with clients, regulatory agencies, the public, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Professional Engineers to apply engineering principles and progress toward licensure.
