Job summary

Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking an Intermediate Civil/Geotechnical Field Engineer with hands-on experience in deep foundation projects (piles, caissons, drilled shafts, and anchors).

The role involves field supervision, construction inspection, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 3–7 years of geotechnical or deep foundation experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in field engineering and supervision.
• Experience with driven piles, drilled shafts, micropiles and ground improvement.
• Knowledge of CSA Alberta codes and regulations.
• Strong writing and reporting skills; good teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site engineering support for deep foundation construction.
• Monitor and document field activities, site observations and progress.
• Conduct site inspections and tests (soil sampling, CPT, pile testing, etc.).
• Collaborate with design engineers to resolve field issues and propose solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, as-built drawings, and field documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and safety standards.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Mentor junior engineers and field technicians as required.
