About the Opportunity

We are looking to add an experienced Civil Drafting Technologist to our Design Production Team in Calgary. If you seek a role that supports growth, development, flexibility, and mentorship, let’s connect!

Contribute to:

1. Carrying out civil design tasks using Autodesk Civil 3D to help create vibrant communities in Calgary and surrounding regions.
2. Being part of a diverse and dynamic team with coaching and mentorship opportunities.
3. Translating high-level conceptual designs into fully constructed projects, from preliminary phases through to project completion.
4. Supporting engineering personnel in the field with design, drawing production, and/or construction specifications.
5. Working in a highly collaborative environment alongside engineering, planning, and drafting specialists.
6. Ensuring quality control of your design work and that of others in the group.
7. Performing assignments with independent judgment and advising on technical challenges.
8. Coordinating project timelines and meeting deadlines.

About You

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an Engineering Design and Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent program, with 5 to 10 years of relevant civil design experience, including subdivision site grading, road design, and underground infrastructure. Experience in land development, stormwater management, or local government projects is preferred.

Key skills include:

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Infraworks.
2. Excellent drafting skills and knowledge of drawing setup and production.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Attention to detail and pride in work quality.
5. Effective communication skills for collaboration.
6. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
7. Registration or eligibility for registration with ASET or equivalent.
8. Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
9. Familiarity with GIS and BIM360 is an asset.
