Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting a Cisco Network Operations Specialist in Calgary, Alberta. Work hybrid in a large-scale enterprise environment supporting Cisco network and security operations across locations.

This hands-on contract role focuses on troubleshooting, security technologies, and ensuring high availability of critical systems. The role covers Cisco Firepower, UC, SIP trunking, VoIP, and WAN with BGP, offering exposure to a broad Cisco stack and opportunities to advance networking

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower (FTD/NGFW), switches, and routers.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise Cisco security infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, routing, and BGP.
• Experience with Cisco UC, SIP trunking, and VoIP services.
• Experience executing changes within ITIL-based change management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network/security issues with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for Cisco firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure
• Troubleshoot network, security, and connectivity incidents in production environments
• Execute network changes, upgrades, and service requests following established processes
• Support enterprise routing infrastructure and WAN connectivity using BGP
• Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco Firepower and NGFW environments
• Support Cisco Unified Communications, SIP trunking, and VoIP services
• Maintain availability of critical voice and emergency communication systems
