City of Winnipeg’s Library Services is seeking a part-time Library Service Assistant 1/2 to join the Circulation team at Sir William Stephenson Library. You will check in/out materials, register memberships, and handle holds and fines, delivering friendly service to patrons.

The role involves cash handling, daily deposits, shelving, and assisting with training circulation staff, with evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to interact effectively with the public in a variety of situations.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Check in/out library materials at the public desk and respond to customer questions in person and by phone.
• Register, update and renew library memberships.
• Assess, collect, and record fines and fees as required.
• Handle and process requests and holds for the public.
• Ensure reports for customer requests are processed and completed daily.
