Metrie, North America's leading interior finishings producer, is seeking a hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist to accelerate Lean initiatives at the Toronto plant. You will lead practical improvements, drive KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity, and partner with cross-functional teams to sustain the Operational Excellence Program.
The role requires 5–7 years in manufacturing CI, Lean Six Sigma experience, and strong coaching skills.

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will support the Toronto plant by leading practical, data-driven improvements across manufacturing and quality control processes while coordinating and sustaining the plant Operational Excellence Program. This hands‑on role will strengthen Lean capability, improve inspection and defect management practices, reduce process variation, and improve key plant KPIs tied to safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and financial performance. The role reports to the Business Improvement Manager and partners closely with the Toronto Production Manager, site leadership team, Quality, Finance, and support functions to deliver measurable improvements aligned with plant priorities, margin improvement, cost absorption, labour productivity, waste reduction, and validated CI savings.
Strong Microsoft Office skills; Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, ERP, CMMS, or manufacturing systems experience is an asset.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, shop‑floor oriented CI leader who combines data analysis with strong people engagement. They can lead and sustain the plant Operational Excellence Program, ask good questions, understand processes before acting, coach teams effectively, and follow through to sustain results.
In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full‑time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at 110,000−115,000. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
