Job summary

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a proactive intern for a 6‑month term starting January 2027 at the Stoney Creek facility.

The intern will contribute to continuous improvement efforts focusing on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management and cost (SQDIC) within the CI system. The role requires a third-year engineering student returning after the term, strong MS Excel skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and collaboration

Qualifications

• Third year completed of a bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering field, with plans to return after the work term.
• Proficient with MS Excel and other MS Office software.
• Ability to multi‑task and perform in a high pace environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of lean management, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent data analysis skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

General Information

Continuous Improvement (CI) is Hitachi Energy’s lean management system, driving continuous improvement to all processes. Hitachi Energy Stoney Creek is searching for a proactive and motivated intern to join our team for a 6 month term, starting in January 2027.
