Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario, is offering a six-month internship at the Stoney Creek site to support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

You will join leadership meetings, lead problem solving, and strengthen visual management and 5S to boost safety, quality, delivery, inventory management and cost. The ideal candidate is a third-year engineering student planning to return after the term, proficient with MS Excel, with strong data analysis, interpersonal and multi-tasking

Qualifications

• Third year completed of a bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field, with plans to return after the work term.
• Proficient with MS Excel and other MS Office software
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a high pace environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of lean management, quality, and continuous improvement
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Excellent problem solving skills

General Information:

Continuous Improvement (CI) is Hitachi Energy's lean management system, driving continuous improvement to all processes. Hitachi Energy Stoney Creek is searching for a proactive and motivated intern to join our team for a 6 month term, starting in January 2027. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and maturity of our facility's management system, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management and cost (SQDIC).
