The Salvation Army TSA is seeking a temporary Christmas Kettle Campaign worker to engage the public and encourage donations in a mall or public location. You will stand at the kettle for a two-hour minimum shift, respond to donor questions, and maintain a positive, professional image while representing TSA.
Qualifications include some high school coursework and up to one year of customer service experience; money handling experience is an asset.

Position Purpose summary: The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to other. The Christmas Kettle Fundraising Worker encourages the public to donate to The Salvation Army by standing next to a Christmas Kettle in a public location and engaging passers-by.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Some high school coursework, completion of high school is an asset.
Skills/capabilities Willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities. Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures. Enthusiastic Team Player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lift 9 to 12 kgs (20 - 25 lbs). Strong customer service skills; enjoy liaising and working with people of all ages and abilities. Willingness to be flexible and work well under pressure with daily timelines and changing priorities. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in the handling of donor, volunteer, and organizational information.
This is a temporary position ending December 24, 2026.
The target hiring range for this position is $17.00 to $18.08 with a maximum of $21.69. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
