The Salvation Army is seeking a friendly and reliable individual to staff Christmas kettle shifts in mall environments. You will engage with donors, answer questions about programs, and help ensure donations are secure while maintaining a professional image.
Flexibility with days and weekends is required; must be able to stand for long periods and lift light loads. Prior customer service experience is preferred, and transportation to kettle locations is essential.

Position Purpose summary: The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to others. Serve as a positive ambassador for The Salvation Army by monitoring a Christmas Kettle while engaging with donors, answering questions about programs and services, and ensuring the security of donations during assigned kettle shifts.
Incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below.
Reports directly to Director, Family Care Centre .
Direct reports: n/a.
Must be willing and able to work shifts that may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.
Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the hours may increase as per the Christmas Kettle Campaign operational requirements.
Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.
Local travel may be associated with this position.
Work environment is typically in malls/stores
Standing for long periods will be required and exposure to cold weather.
The target hiring range for this position is $17.60 to $21.03 with a maximum of $25.23. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
