Halton Healthcare is seeking a Chiropodist for the Mississauga Halton Diabetes Foot Care Program, a regional initiative providing preventative foot care to high-risk diabetes patients. The role is permanent full-time with 7.5 hour day/evening shifts across Oakville, Milton and Georgetown sites, requiring travel within Halton.

Qualificações

• Recognized diploma in Chiropody required.
• Current registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
• Wound care certification from the Canadian Association of Wound Care.
• Experience mentoring and teaching.
• Foot care course preferred for health care professionals.
• Knowledge of self-management principles.
• Experience educating groups.
• Excellent organizational skills and prioritization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel to multiple foot care sites in Halton and surrounding areas.
• Physically able to do the job.
• Excellent employment and attendance record.

• Mentor and provide clinical instruction to other health professionals in diabetic foot care.
• Act as a resource person to staff, students and the community regarding foot care.
