Join our team at Ainsworth! We are looking for a dedicated Senior HVAC Technician / Chiller Technician to join our growing Ottawa branch. Position Summary:

The Senior HVAC Technician / Chiller Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional, courteous, and customer-focused service on every call, representing Ainsworth positively.
  2. Read, interpret, create, and maintain technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Install and overhaul air conditioning, heating, and related equipment.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems.
  5. Repair or replace worn or broken parts, including compressors, condensers, and pumps.
  6. Supervise and coordinate activities of apprentices.
  7. Maintain knowledge of current regulations and equipment.
  8. Ensure safety and compliance with all policies and regulations.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative support if needed.

Qualifications:

  1. 10-15 years of HVAC experience.
  2. High School diploma or GED.
  3. 313A Certificate (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic).
  4. Valid driver’s license and Certificate of Qualification.
  5. Knowledge of HVAC/R codes, standards, and safety practices.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
