Job Summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking a Chiller Technician to join our growing Toronto GTA team. The role will involve assembling, repairing, and maintaining chillers.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose chillers and related equipment with full understanding of product operations.
• Install equipment and components.
• Assist in the overhaul and servicing of chillers.
• Perform maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• 313A 4th year to mechanic (equivalency).
• G1/G2 driver’s license required.
• Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic.
• Experience with centrifugal, screw, scroll, and piston compressors.
• Tear down experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of HVAC Refrigeration trade practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Current and valid Ontario driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preference for dual Journeyman Certification (Electrician, Plumber, Gas).

The pay range for this position is $65.52 to $68.64 per hour. Compensation is based on the collective agreement.
