Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Children’s Support Worker to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care for children and young people in residential settings and community-based packages across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.

The role supports daily routines, independence, education and positive role modelling, helping young people achieve their individual goals and feel safe and valued every day.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week.
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs within residential settings and community-based support packages.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll help provide structure, consistency and positive role modelling while supporting young people to achieve their individual goals.

Whether it's helping with daily routines, encouraging independence, supporting education, or simply being a trusted adult during difficult moments, your work will have a genuine impact.

Essential Requirements
