Kitsilano Neighbourhood House is seeking a Casual Childhood Educator to support learning in a diverse, inclusive setting. You will join a collaborative team, delivering developmentally appropriate activities in licensed childcare, with emphasis on play-based learning and documentation.
The role requires RA/ECEA/ECE/ECEIT certificates and First Aid, and offers in-person hours at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House with a competitive benefits package for casual staff.

You have experience working with young children and enjoy sharing your unique interests, skills, and knowledge in ways that spark curiosity and engagement. You are organized, communicate effectively, and bring strong planning and collaboration skills to your work. You are committed to creating thoughtful learning environments where children feel inspired, empowered, and valued as collaborators.
As a casual/on-call educator, you are flexible, dependable, and able to adapt quickly to different classrooms while supporting consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
Working as part of a collaborative team, the Childcare Educator – Casual fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment where children are recognized as capable co-contributors, and where learning unfolds through play, exploration, and relationships. This role requires the ability to meet physical demands that may include walking, lifting, moving supplies, setting up tables and chairs, and supporting daily program and space needs.
