Job summary

Atira Women’s Resource Society in Vancouver is seeking a Part-Time Child & Youth Worker to support mothers and their children with developmentally appropriate activities. You will plan and facilitate programs, provide one-to-one and group support, and coordinate with schools and community partners.

The role emphasizes safety, trauma-informed practice, and respectful, gender-responsive service delivery. Hours are avg 20 per week (Mon–Wed with every second Wed off), 10:00–18:30, and the position

Qualifications

• Plan, facilitate and assess developmentally appropriate activities for children/youth.
• Provide one-to-one and group support to children/youth and mothers.
• Maintain accurate records, files, log notes and statistics per policy.

Responsibilities

• Organize recreational activities such as meals, celebrations and movie nights.
• Assist families during transitions, court appearances, and appointments.
• Respond to emergencies and provide light housekeeping as needed.
• Work with schools and partners to support children/youth.
