Join our team at the new Tamarack North Centre, operated by the YMCA Simcoe/Muskoka. A s a Child and Youth Program Instructor and be part of a journey of fun and growth! In this role, you'll be the ultimate champion of our mission and core values, spreading positivity and enthusiasm to all.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver structured programs for children and youth, with the ability to modify programs to meet the age-appropriate and developmental needs of all participants
• Coach and appropriately supervise children during scheduled programs
• Communicate with all participants and their caregivers, members, staff and volunteers
• Maintain records as needed, including attendance sheets, program area maintenance items and daily checklists
• Work as part of a team to ensure a clean and well maintained facility at all times

You bring:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Standard First Aid/CPR Certification ‘C’
• Healthy Child Development training or experience working with children in a recreational setting is an asset
• Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Must be able to work flexible hours based program needs
• Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:
• AODA Training
• Health & Safety Awareness Training
• Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) Training
• PCI Compliance
• WHMIS
• Child Safeguarding Training
