Responsibilities
  • Ensure ongoing management of cases in accordance with agency policy
  • Act on all reports of child abuse, neglect and abandonment
  • Place children in need of protection with alternate caregivers
  • Provide counselling and support services
  • Ensure appropriate placement resources are available and that the children in care are supervised and monitored appropriately
  • Case plans are developed, continuously reviewed and updated as needed
  • Complete a comprehensive family social history and genogram with the family and maintain on file
  • Duty to report
  • Ensure safety standards of care are being followed and comply by quality assurance standards of the agency
Qualifications
  • BSW/BISW or related degree
  • Criminal/Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Knowledge of First Nation Culture
  • Ability to develop and establish a trusting and strong working relationship with staff, clientele, First Nations communities and TCFS Inc. interest groups
  • Effective communication skills; computer literate
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and present at the time of the interview
