TOUCHWOOD CHILD AND FAMILY INC. is seeking a Child & Family Services Protection Worker to safeguard children and support families across Touchwood member nations in Saskatchewan. The position requires a University Bachelor's Degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. Local travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

  • BSW/BISW or related degree required.
  • Excellent communication abilities and computer literacy.
  • Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing management of cases in accordance with agency policy
  • Act on all reports of child abuse neglect and abandonment
  • Place children in need of protection with alternate care givers
  • Provide counselling and support services
  • Ensure appropriate placement resources are available and that the children in care are supervised and monitored appropriately
  • Case plans are Developed, continuously reviewed and updated as needed
  • Complete a comprehensive family social history and genogram with the family and maintain on file
  • Duty to report
  • Ensure safety standards of care are being followed and comply by quality assurance standards of the agency
