Job Opportunity: Casual Child Care Worker

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the home and the children receive proper care and attention and follow the plan set forth for the home to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.

Job Profile
  • Learn the case plan for the primary caregiver(s) and the children.
  • Provide children with age-appropriate activities and programs.
  • Assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks; ensure food handling and storage; follow appropriate safety guidelines.
  • Monitor behavioral issues and respond appropriately, ensuring children are safe.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in safety-related initiatives.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the House Leader is kept apprised of all issues related to the children's well-being and safety.
  • Complete ad-hoc or regular reports (e.g., incident reports, daily log books).
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of child/family information.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications / Certifications

This position is to work in shifts which include weekend and night shifts.
