Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring for a Full-Time, Contract position in Edmonton. You’ll complete follow-through on each child’s speech goals, assist the speech and language therapist, and plan programming based on individual needs.

You will communicate with children and families and collaborate with the care team. Requirements include 1-3 years in child care or related work, CPR & First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and meeting provincial childcare requirements.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in child care or with children with delays.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Access to reliable vehicle and driver’s license.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment; CPR & First Aid certification; health requirements per local health authority.

What will you be doing?

• Completing follow through on each child’s speech goals.
• Assisting speech and language therapist with implementation.
• Planning and implementing programming based on the needs of the child.
• Effectively communicating and building a relationship with children and families.
• Collaborate with day care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience working in the child care field or in a position with children who have diverse learning or developmental delays
• Excellent communication skills
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a driver’s license

• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
