BrightPath Kids in Sherwood Park, AB is seeking a Centre Director to lead the daily operation of our childcare centre. You will work closely with teachers and families to create a welcoming, safe environment and ensure programs meet licensing requirements.

The role includes staff recruitment and development, payroll management, policy implementation, and clear communication with parents. If you are committed to quality early learning, we want to meet you.

Qualifications

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood OR Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification.
• Knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations.
• Knowledge of financial management.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate and up-to-date immunization/Health Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensure that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce all province regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of training for all staff members.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As a Centre Director, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood OR Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations

• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment as per the local Ministry of Health Requirements
