BrightPath Kids in West Henday, AB, is seeking a Centre Manager to lead daily operations, drive licensing compliance, and develop a strong childcare team. You will oversee recruitment, training, and staff performance while maintaining excellent communications with families.

The role requires an ECE-focused credential (B.Ed. or Level 3) and experience with licensing rules, budgeting, and administrative duties. A competitive package accompanies the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education or Level 3 Certification.
• Knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations.
• Experience with financial management and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the centre's operations: recruit and develop staff, policy, safety, hygiene, and licensing.
• Ensure staff understand classroom objectives and educational goals.
• Handle payroll, payables/receivables, and general communications.
• Enforce provincial regulations within the centre building.
• Implement training for all staff members.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children's progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood OR Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification

• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment as per the local Ministry of Health Requirements
