An iron ore mining company in Labrador City, NL, is seeking a Chief Power Engineer (Alternate) to ensure safe operational practices in the Steam Plant. Applicants should hold a 1st Class Power Engineering Certificate and possess strong safety and leadership skills. This role requires 12-hour day shifts on a 7 on 7 off schedule. Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Boiler and Pressure Vessel regulations, acts, and standards.
• Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the Steam Plant department.
• Assist in implementing safety programs.
• Provide direction to Steam Plant Supervisors for operations and maintenance.

Connaissances

Knowledge of Boiler and Pressure Vessel regulations

Occupational Health and Safety Act knowledge

Problem solving/analytical skills
