Job summary

Techo-Bloc is seeking its first General Counsel to build and lead a legal function for Canada and the US. You will report to the CEO, provide clear legal guidance, strengthen governance, and manage risk across operations while developing in-house capabilities and external counsel relationships.

The role covers commercial, governance, risk, acquisitions, employment, IP, privacy, and regulatory matters, requiring a pragmatic, business-minded lawyer capable of balancing daily operations with

Qualifications

• Law degree and active license to practice in Canada.
• Experience with cross-border Canada–US transactions is preferred.
• Experience advising executives on governance and regulatory matters.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements.
• Oversee governance, risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage external counsel and in-house matters across Canada and the United States.
• Support M&A due diligence and integration.
• Provide strategic counsel to the CEO and senior leadership.
• Build scalable legal processes and governance framework.
