Job summary

Consilio LLC seeks a visionary technology leader for a senior executive role (CTO/CIO) within a Canadian law firm. The position blends strategic technology oversight with delivery of digital transformation across legal services and internal operations.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in technology leadership, 7+ years in a top technology role, and a track record in law firm environments, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI initiatives. Hybrid/remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• 7+ years in a senior executive technology role (CTO, CIO, VP Technology, or equivalent).
• Prior experience working within a law firm, legal services organization, ALSP or legal technology provider is required.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing technology budgets exceeding CAD 5M.
• Proven success implementing cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise technology programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives across legal service delivery and internal operations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on emerging technologies and innovation opportunities.
• Evaluate and implement legal technology solutions that improve efficiency, service quality, and client satisfaction.
• Build a technology roadmap supporting future growth and scalability.
• Lead IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and enterprise systems.
• Oversee cybersecurity and risk management programs.
• Manage technology budgets and vendor contracts.
• Foster data governance and analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with clients to understand technology needs and strategic objectives.
