Chief Financial Officer / Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Employer: RM of Rosser Location: Rosser, MB Application Deadline: TBD
The Rural Municipality of Rosser, with the support of Way To Go Consulting Inc., is looking to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer / Assistant Chief Administrative Officer created by the upcoming retirement of the current incumbent.
Located next to the City of Winnipeg, Rosser has a rich agricultural history but has experienced significant commercial and industrial growth, particularly due to developments at CentrePort. Over the past decade, Rosser’s assessment has grown by 250%, and currently rivals that of cities such as Morden, Portage la Prairie, and Selkirk. Our total annual budget, including capital projects has also expanded and currently exceeds $40 million.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong financial leadership skills. While a CPA designation or related education is an asset, what is most important is the ability to lead financial strategy, manage budgets with transparency and discipline, and provide sound, forward-thinking advice that supports decision-making across the organization. A strategic mindset, comfort with complexity, and a collaborative leadership approach are essential. Whether your experience comes from municipal government or elsewhere, you will need to be skilled in building trust, developing teams, and aligning financial planning with broader organizational goals. If you are new to municipal government, we will support you in understanding the legislative and policy environment—we are looking for someone ready to lead, adapt, and make a lasting impact.
We offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package, with the salary level currently under review.
The selection committee will begin reviewing applications as early as May 20, 2025, however, applications may continue to be accepted until the right candidate is found.
We thank all who apply and advise that only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
