Position Summary:
We are searching for a self-motivated Human Resources Manager to join our team. The HR Manager role provides strategic partnership and hands on support for various Human Resources activities across designated portfolios. The successful candidate is required to work closely with the corporate HR Team, diagnosing issues and opportunities, driving initiatives to execute plans, to lead activities and projects in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, employee relations, training and talent management. Job Responsibilities:
The position reports to the President, Constellation Real Estate Group. The following are key responsibilities of this role:
- Oversee and manage 2-3 Human Resource team members.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and/or other issues, provide advice, guidance and support in all areas related to performance management, recruitment, employment legislation, company policies/programs, compensation, retention, and conflict resolution.
- Work collaboratively with the recruiting manager and/or recruiters to ensure the team is recruiting, selecting, and retaining top talent and manage a virtual bench.
- Assess training needs and monitor training programs for employees and for specific assigned portfolios.
- Coach and counsel management and employees on performance management, including developing action plans, progressive disciplinary strategies and terminations.
- Ensure new hires experience an exceptional onboarding process.
- Coordinate with corporate HR on the implementation and management of HR policy.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for improving Human Resources processes and efficiencies.
- Assist in acquisition HR due diligence, as needed and integration for assigned portfolios.
- Oversee the implementation of various HR programs as identified (i.e. performance management, reporting, HRIS, etc.)
- Responsible for the identification and coordination of mandatory (Canada) training for new hires
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- College diploma or University degree in Human Resources Management, or related field. Professional Human Resources designation an asset.
- 5 + years of progressive HR experience within Human Resources in Canada (experience in the United States would be an asset).
- Solid understanding of employment legislation best practices and understanding, knowledge and application of Human Resources Management policies in Canada
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience with HRIS an asset. (Experience with Workday and ADP is a plus)
- Strong service/people oriented, relationship building, judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to details, organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and change.
- Must be actioned and deadline oriented.
- Excellent priority setting and problem-solving skills
- Must possess strong communication skills, presentation skills and proven ability to coach individuals.

Salary Range (US Only):
The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $83,200.00 - $124,800.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.
Other Compensation (US Only):
This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.

Full time employees will also be eligible for enrollment in a wide range of choices of benefits , including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k) participation (with company match).
Time off (US Only):
The Company provides a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new employees , sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.
