  • Develop and implement strategic plans that reflect community priorities and promote long-term sustainability
  • Lead organizational planning, budgeting, policy development, and performance measurement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, funders, and partners
  • Oversee program delivery, ensuring services are culturally based, trauma-informed, and aligned with Indigenous values and philosophies
  • Advocate on behalf of the urban Indigenous community at regional, provincial, and federal levels
  • Support the Board of Directors through transparent governance and communication
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility through financial planning, monitoring, and risk management
  • Foster a healthy, inclusive, and values-driven organizational culture

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Indigenous Governance, Social Sciences, Law, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in senior leadership, preferably in an Indigenous, not-for-profit, or community-based organization
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational development
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous communities, cultures, and values, particularly in an urban context
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors and diverse stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of culturally appropriate and trauma-informed practices
  • Preference will be given to qualified Indigenous applicants

Working Conditions :

This position offers a hybrid work model with a mix of in-office and remote flexibility. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel, may be required.
