Job summary

Webuild is seeking a Chief Estimator at its Montreal branch to lead all estimating activities for construction and infrastructure projects across Canada. You will supervise cost estimates, support bid strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure alignment between Canadian operations and the Italian headquarters.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in construction, engineering or infrastructure with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience preparing estimates for large and complex infrastructure or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all estimating activities for tenders, proposals, and pre-construction projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, and external partners.
• Prepare and validate quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, risk assessments, and estimate summaries.
• Manage and mentor the estimating team, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
• Support bid reviews and management approval processes.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and key stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing.
• Coordinate estimating activities between Canadian operations and the Italian headquarters.

Salary Range

Executive level: €95,000 – €110,000 gross annual base salary.
