Job summary

Zurich Canada is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the Canadian Compliance function and strengthen an ethics-based culture across the business. You will set direction, advise senior leaders, and ensure regulatory risks are identified, assessed and managed with a robust program.

In this high-visibility role, you will develop the Canadian Compliance team, collaborate with Legal and other partners, and champion integrity, building strong relationships across the organization while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of compliance experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience in local regulatory and governance environment.
• Experience developing, implementing, managing and monitoring corporate compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory risk and ethics.
• Executive presence to communicate with senior leaders and build relationships.
• Strategic and commercial judgment with analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for Canada, aligning with Zurich’s compliance framework.
• Advise senior leadership on regulatory developments and risk.
• Lead Canada’s compliance risk management and oversight.
• Build relationships across the business and with key partners.
• Champion a culture of integrity and clear accountability.
• Lead and develop the Canadian Compliance team with strong prioritized focus.
