Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Chief Application Analyst to lead the governance and evolution of a strategic cloud platform used across multiple bank sectors. You will advise users, prioritize changes with the Product Owner and ensure robust incident management, data integrations and reporting.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement and responsible AI use, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities to influence the data ecosystem and value creation for the organization.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing, maintaining and evolving a business application used by several user groups.
• Experience analyzing needs, coordinating application developments and managing stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Ability to understand business processes, interactions between different applications and perform data integrations.
• Rigor in managing risks, changes and priorities, as well as a strong interest in continuous improvement, data and technology.
• Excellent communication skills, collaboration, analysis and influential leadership with stakeholders.
• Experience with CRM, compliance, audit or financial disclosure solutions, knowledge of Workiva, SQL, APIs, Power BI or similar tools, CPA designation is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as a reference person for a strategic cloud platform used by several Bank sectors and ensure its maintenance, stability, security and evolution
• Advise users to understand their needs, promote best practices and recommend solutions to maximize the value of the platform
• Work with the Product Owner to prioritize requests, define changes and contribute to the solution roadmap
• Governance of the platform, including managing access, configurations, workspaces, controls and user standards
• Coordinate incident resolution, upgrades and upgrade requests with service providers, technology teams and business partners
• Ensure the reliability of integrations, data flows, automations, reports and dashboards supporting the various user sectors
• Assess the impacts of changes, supervise testing and support the implementation of application changes
• Identify optimization opportunities and recommend improvements that contribute to operational efficiency, the user experience and the creation of value for the organization.
