Job summary

Moxon Personnel Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a CPA to serve as Chief Accountant in a small real estate office. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day accounting and act as the main financial resource for the owner.

Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, banking, payroll, tax remittances, T4 and T4 Summary preparation, budget work, general ledger maintenance, audit preparation, and regulatory filings. Real estate experience is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Experience in real estate accounting is preferred.
• Strong in general ledger and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting including accounts payable and receivable.
• Handle banking, regulatory filings, payroll and tax remittances, T4 and T4 Summary preparation.
• Maintain personal accounting and bank accounts for the owner; perform bank reconciliations.

Our client is a small and well established real estate Company that is involved in development, property management and other various facets of the real estate market. The need has arisen for a CPA to act as a Chief Accountant in their small office in downtown Vancouver. The successful candidate will, hopefully, have had some previous experience in the real estate area and enjoy working in a small office where they perform a lot of the accounting duties themselves. Specifically, your will undertake day to day accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking, regulatory filings, payroll, tax remittances, T4 and T4 Summary preparation, personal accounting and bank account maintenance for the owner, bank reconciliations, budget preparation, general ledger maintenance/reconciliation, audit preparation for the auditors and generally acting as the main financial resource for the owner.
