Job summary

Moxon Personnel Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a Treasury Accountant for a newly created role. The successful candidate will be a newly designated CPA and will work on contract interpretation, tax filings, cash flow forecasting, and insurance coordination.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or newly designated CPA
• Experience interpreting contracts in a sales context
• Knowledge of corporate taxation and tax return preparation
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and insurance programs

Responsibilities

• Interpret contracts for the sales side of the business to ensure accurate accounting
• Assist with corporate taxation including extracting information for tax filings

Job description

Our client is a very successful company that has its head office located in downtown Vancouver. An excellent position exists for a motivated person to assume the newly created position of Treasury Accountant. The successful candidate, who should be a newly designated CPA, will be involved in a number of key functions for the company. Approximately 50% of your time will involve the interpretation of contracts for the sales side of the business. You will be involved with the interpretation of contracts and ensuring that the accounting for the sales are accurate and timely. You will also spend about 25% of your time on corporate taxation including extracting information from the accounting records as required for tax return preparation and other industry related tax filings. Lastly, about 25% of the positions will involve assisting the Treasurer with cash flows and cash forecasting and also assisting the Treasurer with the company’s insurance program.
