Job summary

Fed Finance is seeking a Chief Accountant for a company based in Laval. You will oversee daily accounting operations, coordinate end-of-period activities, and ensure financial data reliability.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience a plus, and bilingual fluency in French and English. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, producing management information, managing cash, and collaborating with auditors and financial partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Experience supervising or coordinating a team is preferred.
• Bilingual in French and English is required or highly valued.
• Proficiency in Excel is required; ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the reliability of financial data.
• Coordinate end-of-period activities and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Validate accounting transactions and analyses; perform or supervise account analyses and controls.
• Produce financial information for management decision-making and support cash management.
• Collaborate with auditors and government agencies; participate in external stakeholder relations.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve administrative and financial processes.
