Job summary

Chemtrade in Brandon, MB is seeking a Chemical Operator (3rd or 4th class Power Engineer) for rotating 12‑hour shifts. You will operate pumps, valves and other plant equipment, load trucks and railcars, and perform routine maintenance in outdoor conditions with safety as a priority.

A high school diploma or GED is required, plus a 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (or in progress). The role demands physical stamina, ability to lift, and flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (Asset) or in the process of obtaining.

Responsibilities

• Perform truck and railcar loading/unloading, hose connections, and operation of plant equipment as needed.
• Replace nuts and bolts in pipe flanges 1”–48” diameter.
• Operate mobile equipment including front end loader, track mobile, forklifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory in tool room/warehouse; assist with safety duties.
• Work in 40°C ambient conditions wearing PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
