The Chemical Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's smooth and efficient operations by supporting the Senior Operations Manager. This role will analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. This role involves data analysis, reporting, process development, and project management, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Accountabilities

Process Analysis and Improvement:

  • Identifying and analyzing operational processes to pinpoint areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities by:
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Identifying and prioritizing process improvement opportunities, including order fulfilment project, and Recommending and developing solutions

Process & Workflow Development Supporting

  • Interdepartmental workflow
  • RFQ processes by providing analytics, costing and presentation material
  • Research & Development by coordinating the New Product Development workflow to include all participating departments and documentation

Data Analysis And Reporting

In support of organizational Key Performance Indicators, gather, analyze, and present operational data to track KPIs, identify trends, and make informed decisions within the Chemical Operations.Assist in the development and implementation of Action Items that arise as a result of ongoing areas of improvement that come from KPI assessments.Ongoing use of PSI (ERP system) to gather and analyze data that leads to operational improvements.

Prepare reports and presentations from vendor service documents to ensure contractual obligations are met for key accounts.

Process Development And Documentation

  • Creating and maintaining documentation for business processes, including process flow diagrams and procedures.
  • Supporting or leading projects to implement improvements, manage change, and ensure successful outcomes.

True-Vue Product Management

  • Manage all aspects of the True-Vue Chemical Storage and Monitoring product offering, including procurement, supporting customer onboarding, system data entry and ongoing customer interaction as required.

Collaboration And Communication

  • Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows and effective communication
  • First point of contact for internal and external product enquiries and to direct to appropriate resource
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager in all inter-departmental communication related to Operational Excellence, Quality and team building.

System Support

  • Providing support for various systems, including PSI and other business applications, and assisting with system upgrades and implementations.

Logistics/Supply Chain Support

  • Support Customer Service Supervisor with vendor management of logistics partners.
  • Responsible for data collection of logistics related costs, delivery and other KPIs to ensure customer expectations and costs are met.

Education And Experience Required

  • 2 years direct experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • A business diploma with specialization in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations. A business degree is an asset

Technical Skills And Competencies

  • Strong communication skills needed to effectively build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficient data mining and analysis skills
  • Effective time management with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple moving parts
  • Knowledge of computerized systems/applications, including ERP systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Team player with the willingness to assist in other areas as needed
  • Ability to make sound decisions regarding day-to-day responsibility and work in a self-directed manner

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually
